How do I get the trial version?

You just open up your LabImage account on our website. The process is quite simple and free. After log in you just go to the download section and click the download button. The download starts within seconds. It will just take you minutes and you are done. You will find another button with request trial licence. Just press this on the trial version will be sent to you by e-mail. Not quite sure if your e-mail is correct? Just go to My LabImage and check your e-mail. It is quite simple to add the trial licence to LabImage. You will find a detailed description in the e-mail.

Yes! This is required. We offer a time limited full version for your trial. Please see the feature list to compare the versions we offer.

How to add a licence – how do I do it?

Once you have downloaded the trial version and the key you just have to follow the install instructions. After this you start LabImage by clicking on the software icon on your desktop. LabImage shows up with the licence windows. Before you have to save the licence file from the e-mail we sent you. Just click on add licence file and refer to the licence file you have saved before. That's it. If you have any trouble just tell us. We can give you help using our online presentation software. This will deciribe how to add the license key to LabImage
  1. Save the license key file attached to an e-mail into the application path of LabImage (should be something like C:\program files\labimage)
  2. Start LabImage – the license dialog appears
  3. Click on Open File and add the license key file from the application path (our example: C:\program files\labimage) to the dialog
  4. The license typ will be added to the list
  5. Click on O.K.

Please note that you will need administrator rights to install LabImage (write access to LabImage directory). If you are not sure please contact your IT specialist. After installing LabImage user can switch back to regular user rights.
If you are not able to install LabImage into the program directory you can use your user home directory to install.

The licence does not contain readable letters what to do?

The licence file contains your licence as encrypted information. So your licence may not look like the type you know. We use a file to make it easier for you to add the licence details.

I get an error adding the licence

After adding the licence to LabImage you will see an entry in the licence overview. If you get an error please read it carefully. Please note: The licences can only be added once. So if you try to add the licence again you will get an error. If so please tell us. We can support you with an update licence.

My trial period is over but I am not finished with testing

We have limited the trial period to 30 days. If this period is not enough for your trial please let us know. We can support you with an update trial license with another 30 days.

How often does LabImage offer updates?

We are working on the continuous improvement of LabImage. As soon as we find errors we will fix it to offer you the best software. Updates are used to offer new features as well. So check for updates every month. Or you just activate the LabImage update check. This feature will do the work for you. If there are any new updates available we keep you up to date.

Will LabImage run on Microsoft Vista?

Yes it will. Due to many changes in the new release please add a slight change.
Please proceed as follows:
  • Install LabImage using the setup file
  • During the setup procedure the LabImage Icon will be placed on your desktop
  • Click on the Icon using the right mouse button and select Properties
  • at the compatibility tab choose "Windows NT 4.0 Mode" and press OK
  • Run LabImage by double clicking the LabImage Icon
