LabImage 1D provides all of the needed features to create expressive gel reports. The workflow guided analysis supports both beginners and professionals.
Accurate automatic lane detection
Minimize the time on finding lanes with the automatic mode. Even bent or non
vertical lanes can be detected by optimized algorithms. Use a powerful manual
correction for problem gels to improve the lane detection.
RF Calibration
RF lines are used to correct distortions in the gel. The Rf correction will enable
you to virtually correct the position of bands before doing any molecular weight
calculation. RF lines can be moved in the gel to fit the best position.
Molecular weight calibration
Molecular weights can be assigned using the supplied standard library. The
calibration view enables users to find the best curve fitting for the gel.
Create your own standards with an image sample. One single gel can support multiple
standards.
Quantification / Normalization
Assign quantity values to known bands. Select either a single band, a group of
bands or full lanes to create a mass calibration using different types of
fittings. Normalization is provided for single bands, groups of bands and
lanes.
Build in analysis workflow
LabImage provides a step-by-step workflow throughout the whole analysis
process. Guided, efficient and reliable - LabImage leads to reproducible
results.
Background subtraction
LabImage offers a wide range of background subtraction methods. Manual or
automatic subtraction - the method for each lane can be adapted to particular
needs.
Band detection
Bands can easily be found using the automatic band detection. The process is
supported by adjustable parameters and manual detection. For best control,
corrections can be made in the lane profile and lane view.
Documentation and Visualization
Present your results to others! Add comments, boxes and arrows to emphasize
important details and export it for further use. A movable 3D-surface blot and
3D-profil improve the interpretation of the results.
Reporting
LabImage offers templates for data reports. These reports can be customized to
fit particular needs. Every report or analysis data can be exported to other
application in standard formats (doc, pdf, xls).
